Itโs cherry blossom season here in Korea.
Everywhere I go, the streets are filled with pale pink petals,
dancing in the breeze like a quiet reminder:
This moment wonโt last forever.
Lately, Iโve been spending most of my time alone,
shut in my study, lost in writing.
I was so focused, so deep in my thoughts,
that I didnโt notice how far Iโd drifted from my wife and son.
And now, I feel a quiet sense of guilt.
Today is Saturday.
Thereโs rain in the forecast,
and if it comes, it may take the blossoms with it.
So I made a simple decision:
Iโll take the day off.
Iโll go on a spring outing with my family
to Hwaseong Haenggung, a historic palace in Suwon.
Weโll walk under the blossoms,
breathe in the season,
and maybe, just for a while, forget the weight of thoughts and words.
And of course, whatโs a day out without good food?
From Suwon galbi to street snacks at Jidong Market,
we plan to fill our bellies and our hearts.
This blog post is a small greeting,
a pause from deep thoughts and long pages.
Sometimes, a Dosha just needs to be a husband and a dad.

โCherry blossoms may fall with the rain,
but time shared with loved ones stays in bloom.โ
