1️⃣ Why I Believe Traditional Bazi Interpretations Are Incomplete
For a long time, I’ve felt it—
Bazi, as it’s commonly explained, fails to capture something truly essential.
The conventional explanations are far too simplistic:
“Yin and Yang are opposites.”
“The Five Elements are wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.”
“The Ten Gods represent personality traits.”
These statements may be technically correct,
but they miss the core logic.
They make it hard for people to apply Bazi to real life.
2️⃣ My Understanding: Yang Chases Yin
The most important realization I’ve come to is this:
Yang chases Yin.
In other words, Yang is the subject,
Yin is the object,
and movement begins when Yang moves toward Yin.
Once I understood this,
I started seeing the world differently.
3️⃣ Human Life Follows the Pattern: Yang Chasing Yin
🍽 1. Humans chase food
When you’re hungry, food doesn’t come to you on its own.
You have to move.
Yang (the human) pursues Yin (the food).
If this flow breaks down?
Malnutrition follows. Even life itself is at risk.
💸 2. Humans chase money
Money doesn’t move by itself.
Humans must work, think, and act to earn it.
In Bazi terms,
Bi-Gyeon (self) chases Jae-Seong (wealth).
If that flow is broken, poverty sets in.
💑 3. Humans pursue relationships
Whether it’s romance or social connection,
the structure is the same:
Yang (the active self) moves toward Yin (the passive other).
In Bazi, this is shown as Gap (甲) pursuing Eul (乙).
If that movement stops?
Relationships become unstable, leading to conflict or separation.
📚 4. Humans pursue knowledge
Learning works the same way.
Knowledge doesn’t come to you first.
You have to seek it out.
If you don’t?
Growth stops. Learning halts.
4️⃣ So Here’s How I Redefine Yin-Yang, Five Elements, and Ten Gods

✔ This structure explains every major aspect of life.
✔ Money, love, learning, health—all follow the same flow.
✔ If the subject (Yang) doesn’t move, life stagnates.
✔ Bazi should be a system that interprets this movement and direction.
I’m not trying to do philosophy for its own sake.
I want to explain reality.
I want to find a living structure behind our lives.
🧭 My Conclusion Is Simple
Yang is the subject. Yin is the object.
I must move.
The world opens up only when I move toward Yin.
Bazi is a map—
A map that shows the direction and flow of that movement.
To reduce it to mere symbols or statistics is to waste its potential.
